Research Interests

  • Physiological mechanisms in crop and native species under multiple environmental stresses (e.g. air pollutants, soil salinity, drought, heavy metals, etc)
  • Rooting zone remediation for revegetation of mining wastes (tailings, waste rock dumps, etc)
  • Nutrition and/or toxicity of bioaccumulation of metals in seed and grains and food chain effects
  • Micronutrient deficiency in crop and tree species
  • Management of land constraints (soil physical/chemical factors and fertility) for sustainable plantation forest productivity
Education and Training
  • Development and delivery of undergraduate courses in plant nutrition and soil-plant relations
  • Development and delivery of postgraduate course and international training in Research Methodology in Environmental Sciences
